Sibak Mellody's first experience with martial arts oddly enough began in Hawaii where she was exposed to Goju Karate for two years however, it wasn't until 1995 did she start training in Kajukenbo under Sifu Ray.
Mellody's claim to fame is that she is the first woman to be promoted to black belt under Sifu Ray.
Mellody plans to train for the rest of her life. She says if she ever wins the lottery she wants to open a school and teach.
